OBSCENE EXTREME festival 2001

It will not be a trite report about a festival with dozens of reviews, accurate descriptions of the particular gigs or comparing the shows we're exposed on. I see no sense in listing grouses of bands that appeared at this awesome festival of brutality and harshness. First of all, worth recollecting is the festival area the Obscene Extreme has been taking place for a couple of years. The territory of this sonic terror is simply great! Gentle little hills, lots of diverse places for camping, not that big, but smartly arranged stage and what's quite weighty, if you're not a basketball player you have no worries considering an appropriate viewpoint at onstage insanity. It's not a mystery that I devour tones of bloody meat in everyday life, therefore when I eventually came to terms that at the festival (for two days) I would be disposed of my animalistic appetite really drove me mad. Nevertheless, the non-flesh food that was served at Obscene, to my surprise, seemed to be tasty as hell. But if you really cannot live for just two days without ass of swine, cunt of duck or dick of goat you can straight you pose and enter a restaurant close to the festival area (besides, the prices are low as well as food is very delicious). Alright, enough the logistic issues! I must say that I have been being at many various concerts or festivals, but undoubtedly Obscene Extreme had the most friendly atmosphere of them all. Every person that entered the gate of this obscene festival was given a free CD-player consisting of the bands that was asked to be a part of the madness. I want to underline that it was not a common promo-like CD wrapped in a piece of paper or whatsoever. This CD had a great cover artwork, big as "War and Peace" booklet and included more then 30 bands. People behind this festival just rule. The memorable moments I experienced during those sunny summer days I will not be forsaken for years. For the very first time I had an opportunity to eventually meet the folks I've been corresponding with very frequently. Actually, this blasting event is not solely an unstoppable show, but a course of friendly encounters as well. If you are eager to find out what was going on the stage throughout the days I just can say that it was a constant date of two lovers: Mr. Noise with Miss Proficiency. There ware bands from all corners of brutality and aggressiveness. If you rip your veins off while listening to grind/noise or core you could be hold the shows of Sanity's Dawn or Cripple Bastards, if Hannibal is not a dark character for you, bands like Haemorrhage and Exhumed (the gigs left an incurable wounds deep inside my mind) could fulfill your desires of sonic injury. Certainly, there were also a lot of death freaks that presumably made themselves blow jobs as monsters of for ex. Desecration, Sanatorium, Fleshless or Maledictive Pigs visualized their dins of furious goreapocalypse. All in all, I fell in love with this festival at the very first? riff that reached me from the stage. I won't be objective, and state the gig (apart form the 'big' names) that imposed on me very heavily was, without doubtfulness, Isacaarum. It was a brilliant performance of proficient musicianship and perversity. There was no onstage fucking (shame on you Chymus), however whole gig was that intense and had that feeling some of the others lacked. Before I put this brief report to an end, I just wont to thank organizer of Obscene Extreme 2001 for his devotion, open-mindedness and great support he's been giving to extreme music throughout the years. What can I add? Just, hope to be there next year. I'll give you a piece of advice, be there too. You will not be disappointed. No fucking doubt!
